This is a review of
Davis' Farmland on Apple Picking
How many places can you visit a splash park, pet llamas and pick apples?
Very easy pickins' (you don't have to walk far) but it's also limited; let's face it this place is all about the animals.

What a great idea, to have little kids (0-4) play so near the elderly. It's a bright and cheery space too. Playgroups Tuesday afternoons, Music Together class Monday 9:30, Spanish 1,2,3 Thursday 9am

It feels good to open the door and know what to expect. The food here is fine, and consistent. Even on very busy mornings. The staff is always friendly, but not cloying (think Alice, not Flo). They have many options for pancakes and french toast (raspberry, cranberry, pecan, banana, blueberry) but they are all "white" , don't expect buttermilk, buckwheat, malted, etc. options. They also do not have "real" syrup. Make sure you ask for your eggs the way you want them (the default is super runny!) Most items come without much salt or pepper, so enjoy your own liberal addition. The food is slightly more expensive than you expect for digs like this, ($9 omelets). but not as greasy as diners usually are. Don't forget cash!

a great hotel- bistro. Open nice and early.
Kind to the kiddies, especially during lunch (they sometimes dole out rubber duckies) but no changing tables. (!)

The Mills recently changed formats ('07) to produce more community-oriented shows. With a guest curator program and no designated visual art directors, the BCA's rep for innovation is in flux.

A wonderful breakfast, easy with groups or children but intimate and quiet enough for one on one. The staff is very friendly. Buffet includes nouveau-irish treats like bangers. (Silly, but I come for the abundant and fresh fruit, in winter it very tasty! - where do they get in season tasting fruit?) Also, the made to order waffles are perfect, my favorite in boston. Light fluffy...

They may not have highchairs or changing facilities, but staff are welcoming and friendly towards children. Plus- with wonderful but simple dishes, it's easy to feed children here (but not cheaply) Bonus, they are open for dinner very early (3!) parents can have a very early dinner with their friends who are eating a very late lunch.

I run in for their famous iced green tea - it's presweetened but not too much. (they separate iced tea and coffee equipment so there is no cross taste!) Quick service too. I don't care for sit-down much. A bit crowded for babies, strollers etc. Although Francesca's does have highchairs, the kids can get jostled in this crowded, bustling bistro.

They have a few highchairs, and usually accommodate kids with a smile. It fills up very quickly tho- I'd suggest an early lunch if you are with little ones.

trick- go in for a pedicure, or other service, and then you're able to use their entire spa/gym for that day!

Loud low flying planes and huge barges sailing past are great for the preschool crowd. The water is exceptionally warm, but as of this august was a bit... foamy. Sully's is great for the type of fare they sell. Real (hand pressed) old fashioned burgers and dogs, fried shrimp, soft serve etc.

Although the food was cold by it's delivery to the South End (blame dining in) The flavors were really lovely, and interesting vegetable choices. Portions are small - and watch the "mild please" requests, we got a too spicy the dal tadka for our 3 year old

So close to the children's museum! A bit more spacious than the S.End one, strollers are allowed inside and there are at least 3 highchairs. The kid's pb&j is big! but has masses of their pastry filling like jam. Same pastries and sandwiches are at both locals.

amazing amount of inventory for a south end spot, but BAD place to bring your kids with you. It's dangerously packed and dense 2 floors. Heavy bassinettes balancing on Cribs; sales racks you literally cannot access, steep stairs that are easy for babies to access...

lovely pate de fruit too, but note these are not chocolates that travel well; melting point to low. I'd still prefer to get on a plane with Richart.

Always a fun look around (hide little one's eyes for some rated R products) Great for gifts, it's a one-stop. Not a big selection but often has cute baby T's,(Mostly Boy's) funky adult gifts and quirky wrapping paper. Is there a tag for "south end centric" ? This is where you can get a Waltham Tavern T.

A great place to bring your little ones while you look around. The staff is awesome, very knowledgeable and engaging too. They also have toys for older children, a rarity in the city. Also, they are the only store to have a "safe toy policy", can't beat that especially at holiday time.

Decent, basic. More sauce/topping options than drink options. Check the menu well before you order, and order by name. They have deals the staff is not readily aware of. You wouldn't want to pay more than you have to for your "gourmet" dog. !

If it wasnt for advanced glycogen end Products, i would live on Trader Joe's brand cereals, nuts and pastas. The Boyelston location has a s l o w handicap elevator but it does it's job. I wish they had carts with wheels, easier to manouver with children in tow.

this is a great Shaw's, they use it as a testing ground for them all. That means things that you love might go away, (but when they do they go price to clear) They have great organic produce year round, a decent cheese section, and hand pulled carts with wheels (great for rolling with a stroller),beer and wine. Some outdooor and indoor seating.

Lovely but tiny, you can find predictable boxed noodles and rices and some fresh veg like Daikon. Lots of sweet candies. The elevator is hard to figure out , it helps if you have one person grab an associate to escort you. Last I saw, no fresh rice balls. Darn!!

Love those round cheesy bread rolls! I try to pick up whenever we entertain. Also, amazing thick black coffee.
